DNV Business Assurance and The PLEDGE on Food Waste formalized a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating food‑waste reduction and strengthening sustainability

Singapore, 11 March 2026 — DNV Business Assurance and The PLEDGE on Food Waste formalized a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at accelerating food‑waste reduction and strengthening sustainability practices across the global food‑service and hospitality sectors. 

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in the mission to build a more sustainable and waste‑conscious global food ecosystem. By combining DNV’s assurance expertise with The PLEDGE’s industry framework and applying rigorous, independent verification across the food service and hospitality sectors, we will help businesses set credible targets, measure food‑waste reductions reliably, and demonstrate verified progress to customers, regulators, and other stakeholders.

The MOU was signed by Heng Chwin Mak and Benjamin Lephilibert. The signing ceremony included Marco Sandri, Global Manager of The PLEDGE on Food Waste, and Rachel Ng, DNV Food & Beverage Manager, SEA & Oceania, who supported the partnership process.
