DKSH Singapore strengthens food safety with FSSC 22000 certification from DNV

Singapore, September 2, 2026 – DKSH Singapore Business Unit Consumer Goods has been certified by DNV to FSSC 22000, strengthening its approach to food safety management and supporting alignment with internationally recognized food safety requirements.

DKSH Singapore provides end-to-end market expansion services, including marketing, sales, distribution and logistics, helping consumer goods companies expand across Asia Pacific and Europe. In Singapore, DKSH operates a multi-temperature logistics infrastructure for the secure storage, handling and distribution of food, beverage, personal care and household products.

Building on its existing ISO 22000 framework, the certification represents the next step in DKSH's food safety development and supports its ability to meet evolving customer and supply chain requirements.

A continued focus on food safety

Food safety is critical to DKSH’s operations and to the confidence customers place in its services. Becoming certified demonstrates that its food safety management system has been independently assessed against the requirements of the FSSC 22000 scheme.

“Achieving FSSC 22000 certification marks an important milestone in our continuous improvement journey. It demonstrates our commitment to strengthening food safety practices, enhancing operational excellence, and delivering consistent quality and reliability to our customers,” said Reuben Ong, Vice President Business Unit Healthcare, and Head Country Leadership, DKSH Singapore

Strengthening processes and controls

According to DKSH Singapore, the certification process has contributed to further improved food safety controls across DKSH’s warehousing operations. The company says that refined workflows and enhanced risk management support greater operational control, while increased awareness and accountability help embed a robust food safety culture throughout the organization. DKSH reports that the process has also helped streamline auditing frameworks and may reduce duplication across customer and third-party compliance reviews, while helping DKSH adapt to changing food safety requirements.

DKSH says the certification reinforces confidence in its approach to managing food safety risks and maintaining effective controls. The company also notes that it promotes greater transparency across its operations and helps customers address their own food safety expectations and supply chain requirements.

“The certification journey has helped us refine our processes, strengthen risk management and further embed food safety awareness and accountability across our organization. The collaboration with DNV during audits helps us gain valuable knowledge, strengthen our understanding of requirements, and continuously improve our food safety system,” Reuben Ong added.

Confidence across the supply chain

DNV highlights the importance of robust food safety management systems across increasingly complex food supply chains.

“We congratulate DKSH on achieving FSSC 22000 certification. Effective food safety management requires systematic controls, strong risk awareness and a culture where food safety is embedded in day-to-day operations. By achieving this certification, DKSH demonstrates its commitment to continually improving its food safety management and providing customers and stakeholders with confidence in its approach,” says Melissa Anne Miller, Area Manager – Southeast Asia and Oceania at DNV.
